Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use BachatAI. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to use the App.

2. Account Registration

To use BachatAI, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

3. Description of Services

BachatAI provides AI-powered personal finance management tools, including:

• Automatic expense tracking via Gmail transaction email analysis
• Budget creation and tracking by category
• Monthly saving goal tracking
• Planned payment and bill tracking
• AI-powered financial advice through a chat interface
• Spending insights, streaks, and analytics

BachatAI is a financial management and awareness tool. We are not a bank, financial institution, investment advisor, or licensed financial planner. The advice and insights provided by our AI are for informational and educational purposes only and should not be considered professional financial advice.

4. Gmail Access & Permissions

BachatAI requires access to your Gmail account to detect and track financial transactions from bank alerts, payment confirmations, and merchant receipts. By granting this permission, you understand that:

• We only access emails matching financial transaction patterns
• We do not read, store, or process personal, work, or non-financial emails
• You can revoke Gmail access at any time from your Google Account settings or within the App
• Our use of Gmail data complies with Google's Limited Use Requirements

5. Free & Pro Plans

BachatAI offers a free plan and a paid Pro plan (₹299/month). The free plan provides full access to core features with a limited number of daily AI queries. The Pro plan offers additional AI queries, advanced insights, priority support, and an ad-free experience.

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly through the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. By subscribing, you agree to the payment terms of the respective app store. Subscription auto-renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

6. Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account will revert to the free plan. For details on refund eligibility, see our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use BachatAI for any illegal or unauthorised purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure or security
• Create multiple accounts to abuse free plan limits
• Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the AI advisor to generate content that is harmful, abusive, or illegal

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of BachatAI — including the App design, logo, AI models, text, and graphics — are owned by BachatAI and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our services without our written consent.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

BachatAI is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the service. Specifically:

• Transaction detection depends on the format and availability of email alerts from your bank or payment provider. We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in transaction detection.
• AI-generated advice is based on the data available to us and may not account for your complete financial situation. It should not be treated as professional financial advice.
• We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BachatAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to financial losses resulting from reliance on the App's tracking, insights, or AI advice.

Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹1,000, whichever is greater.

11. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting us at support@bachatai.com. See our Delete Account page for instructions.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of BachatAI after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or your use of BachatAI shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us at support@bachatai.com. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
