Why we exist

India Learned to
Spend, Not Save

UPI made payments instant. Credit made spending easy. But nobody built the tool to help a generation stop and think before the money disappeared.

A Generation Earning More,
But Keeping Less

India's digital payment revolution changed how we spend. But it didn't teach anyone how to manage what's left.

73%
of Indian adults lack basic financial literacy — one of the lowest rates among major economies
50%
of young Indians couldn't save anything in 2025 — half a generation with zero safety net
5.3%
household savings as % of GDP — crashed from 11% in just three years

We Saw It
Happening Around Us

It started with a simple observation. Everyone around us was earning well — good jobs, growing salaries, freelance income. But at the end of every month, the story was the same: "I don't know where the money went."

UPI made spending so frictionless that people stopped noticing. A ₹200 Swiggy order here, a ₹500 subscription there, a quick PhonePe transfer — none of it felt like spending. But it added up. Fast.

Meanwhile, buy-now-pay-later apps were growing at 34% year over year, turning impulse purchases into invisible debt. Social media fuelled aspirational spending. Easy credit masked the damage. And savings? For half of India's young earners, that number was literally zero.

The tools that existed were either too complicated, required bank linking (which nobody trusted), or just showed charts that nobody acted on. What was missing was something simpler — an AI that could watch your spending quietly, understand your patterns, and actually tell you what to do. Not just show data, but give advice.

That's why we built BachatAI. An app that tracks your expenses automatically, creates budgets through a simple conversation, and helps you build saving habits — one month at a time. No bank access needed. No complicated setup. Just download, connect, and let AI handle the rest.

🎯

Our Mission

Make financial awareness accessible to every Indian earner — not through lectures or courses, but through an AI that works silently in the background, organizing your money and guiding you towards better habits every single day.

🔭

Our Vision

A future where no young Indian lives paycheck to paycheck by default. Where understanding your money is as effortless as spending it. Where saving is a habit, not a struggle.

🛡️

Our Approach

Privacy first, always. BachatAI never touches your bank account. We believe you shouldn't have to hand over your financial keys to get good advice. Your data stays yours — we just help you make sense of it.

Principles That
Guide Everything

01

Simplicity Wins

If a feature needs a tutorial, it's too complicated. Finance tools should be as easy as the apps that made spending effortless.

02

AI Should Act, Not Just Show

Charts and graphs are useless if nobody acts on them. Our AI doesn't just analyse — it creates budgets, plans savings, and tells you exactly what to do.

03

Privacy Is Non-Negotiable

We will never ask for your bank credentials. Period. Good financial advice doesn't require access to your bank account.
